In this session, microfinance associations will share their progress in promoting consumer protection in their respective markets through supporting member institutions to upgrade policies, procedures and practices to improve compliance with the Smart Campaign’s Client Protection Principles. The meeting will highlight lessons learned from the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR) during implementation of the Responsible Finance through Local Leadership and Learning Program in partnership with SEEP. The perspectives of a few AMIR member institutions that are actively supported by SEEP and AMIR will be shared and insights and experience from fellow microfinance associations will also be highlighted.
This session is open to all attendees, not just association members.
