Every year, SEEP offers a platform for attendees to connect, engage, and learn more about the challenges and opportunities they face in reducing poverty and strengthening the industry. In 2018, the SEEP Annual Conference welcomed over 440 development leaders from more than 180 organizations and 45 countries. We are eager to convene once again and explore this year's theme, Building Resilience through Market Systems.
Where is the Conference? The Annual Conference, and all volunteer assignments, will be fulfilled in Arlington, Virginia at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, located just minutes away from Washington, D.C. and the Reagan National Airport.
When will volunteers be asked to help? This year, the Annual Conference will be from October 21-23, 2019. Volunteer assignments include two (2) days on and one (1) day off during the dates of the Conference. Additionally, all volunteers must attend one orientation day prior to the Conference. Orientation dates are October 15-17, 2019.
What are the benefits of volunteering? Volunteers are entitled to one full day of the Conference with access to sessions and networking opportunities. Breakfasts and lunches are included. All other costs, such as lodging, dinner, airfare, local travel, incidental expenses associated with participation in the Conference are the responsibility of the volunteer. A stipend of $100 USD will be awarded to each volunteer upon successful completion of volunteer responsibilities.
When should volunteers apply? Applications will be accepted as long as volunteers are needed and reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply soon! Selected applicants will be notified of their acceptance on or before September 20, 2019.
